This one is super rare! Heritage Salt Spring Island apples were pressed and wild fermented, then aged for a year in French oak barrels that had previously held Muscat wine. This is a cider that we originally released in 2020, and since then one unsold case had been quietly sitting in our storage facility among a few other odds and remainders. After rediscovering it, we opened a bottle to see how it had aged and were pleasantly surprised. The oakiness has held up nicely, some of the acidity has since mellowed, and even though the hint of Muscat is less pronounced, it’s still a fantastic, complex cider and a must for those who miss our barrel aged ciders from years past. 7% ABV
